We are a Christ-centered preschool program located in Conway, Arkansas. We take pride in educating children and providing a safe and exciting place for them to grow during the school year.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring, and discovery. Preschool-age children are creative and receptive; we strive to nurture and encourage these qualities in children in a Christ-centered environment that will prepare each child for a positive educational experience. Our goal is to provide a developmental program designed to meet the needs of children ages six weeks through 5 years. This program provides an atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth for the development of the child as a whole.

First Presbyterian Children's Education Ministries (FPCEM)

The Preschool at First Presbyterian Church–Conway is entering its 31st year of operation (how exciting!). At FPCEM, we believe children learn best through joyful exploration, meaningful relationships, and purposeful play. This year, we are excited to introduce The Creative Curriculum® by Teaching Strategies to provide a research-based foundation for kindergarten readiness while also integrating biblical truths throughout each unit of study. Our goal is to nurture each child's academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth in a loving Christian environment. This curriculum is built around play, hands-on learning, and exploration. It also aligns with early learning standards and supports strong kindergarten readiness in a way that feels natural and developmentally appropriate for young children. We are looking forward to this transition and
are excited to see the growth, confidence, and joy it will bring to our classrooms and families.

We continue to be committed to our long tradition of offering enrichment activities, including science and nature experiences, art, music, age-appropriate field trips, and special guest speakers. All Pre-K classes attend dedicated music instruction once a week, and Spanish class is offered on Friday for our Pre-K 3 & 4 classes.

We do not embrace any particular view of any denomination. We are Christian based, and all of our teachers love all children. We may all attend different churches, but we come together each day with the same purpose: to teach children to LOVE everyone as God loves them.
